"Two Shues"

We're not going to tell you WHERE we found these (because we want to stock them exclusively) but we will tell you that if you're gonna wear Mocs, these are the ULTIMATE.

Email us if you likey and we can place an order for you. They do also come in huge range of colours so if you think that you may, for instance, want a pair in mustard we can probably make that happen...

LUV-ING right now

Can't get enough of a couple of tracks hitting the waves atm and we thought we'd share share share with you! Bit of a mixed bag but we've had a pretty massive weekend that seems not to have ended.

Art Vs Science "Flippers" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwekmssvwb8
Nothing like a little bit of Art Vs. Science hitting the speakers as you're ordering a round of vodka lime sodas @ the downstairs bar of The Shore Club!!)

Lady Sovereign "Lets Be Mates" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PsrBcouQk4
Prediction... this track is going to be MASSIVE. You heard it here first.

Jesse Rose feat. Hot Chip "Forget My Name" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdCOlpQgRdY
Love love this German producer. A totally fun sound that is perfect for a Sunday night shoulder shimmy. Also love Touch My Horn Worth putting on your Canal Road boots and stepping out for this guy.

Dizzee Rascal feat. "Bonkers" www.youtube.com/watch?v=b94beDQQtWI
"Some people think I’m bonkers. But I just think I’m free. Man I’m just living my life, there's nothing crazy about me Some people pay for thrills, but I get mine for free. Man I’m just living my life, there's nothing crazy about me". If you know us, it says it all really, doesn't it.

Bag Raiders "Shooting Stars" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmQadCLHwco
Still loving this track. Hasn't had too much commercial airtime which is a pity but once those MGMT kids get a hold of it, there will be no holding Nova back on playing this in one of their midday Friday party mixes.

P.S. There is this awesome track that is just starting to rock dance floors but we can't remember what its called...stay tuned ;)

Ride THIS cowboy

After an exhausting night trawling bottles of red with Bondi's finest (Juz and the Lowchen no less), spotting a cute brand was the last thing to be expected. But we did!

Loving Stannard Inc, an Australian based urban accessories label... it's a little step away from our standard jewellery purchasing, but we did happen across the Urban Cowboy range of wrist wraps which we're loving!

Wearing a DONT HARSH MY MELLOW cufflette right now and if you don't like any of the statements that are hand stamped ongoing, you can customise your own. We'll also be acquiring a LOVER NOT A FIGHTER bangle soon which is cuuuuuute!

Keep Calm and Carry On

One of our favourite all time websites, where we often make purchases to spoil our loved ones, the Keep Calm Gallery are now selling the CUTEST giclee print*, Fairy Ring, produced from an original collage by US (Massachusetts) based artist, Amy Ross. All of the original elements came out of old bookstores and the things that Amy found on their shelves.

*Giclee (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt. In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. One of us has a Louis Icart and two (soon to be 3) Jean-Gabriel Domergue giclees in our apartment... tooooo cute!

UBS @ the Tate

If you happen to be cruising London Town for the bank holiday weekend, head to the beautiful Tate Modern for their free exhibition, UBS Openings: The Long Weekend 2009.

Not only are all events, films, music and performance free, the theme is 'Do It Yourself' - inspired by Arte Povera and Post-minimalism (love love Damien Hirst!)

Don't want to miss Jennifer West's Skate the Sky Performance (Friday 22 May / Turbine Hall / 19.00–20.30)... This talented US artist creates films, without cameras by manipulating the film process. She uses everyday objects (like lithium hot springs water, Jack Daniels and pot for the first example Naked Deep Creek Hot Springs of her 'Cameraless' series) to coat the film strip, which she then exposes to light pulses to create the imagery which is projected to form the installation.

Skate the Sky will see a new film created, live in the Turbine Hall, uniting an unlikely mix of ink, film and skateboarding, in a performance on the ramp. Wish we were there!!

We're also excited about Lucia Fischer's The Holga Diaries @ China Heights Gallery, Sydney. Cool chick, with lots of back alley stalking and wild Lomo prints. Reminds us of winter mornings on the Manly Ferry. Enjoy xx

Well Now You Can

Now that the first homeowners grants have been extended somewhat, the market it gonna be heating up. Honestly, we think owning a Dream House made from diamonds is a much better option... Like these pumpkins from Philippe Tournaire Jewellery, Paris.

Why, we hear you ask, is it better to invest in a piece of jewellery? Well.... for one, it can be HUGE and still cost you less than a 1 bedder, you can show it off to just about anyone and not worry about stalkers following you home, it's still an asset and you don't have to worry about land tax or utilities (bar a little dip every now and then to keep him shiny). SUCH a good option!

And if you like to live you life as your own little island, Tournaire does a range of Solitary abodes... but we'd prefer a yellow gold Florida, or white gold Villa Florence thanks ;)

Another T Mobile

Love Love these commercials... can't wait for the whole version to be released! And there is at least 1 more of the 3 part Sing-a-long ads to come! WOOT!

IMOK, pronounced "I" "Mock" - comes from the sentiment I'm ok.

It can be hard to live every single day looking for the pretty in the world... you end up in all sorts of predicaments... like having Scando/graffiti /modern / deco art covering the walls of your humble abode.
Finding something to pull pinks, dove grey, aqua, mustard and cream together can be a stretch for anyone, but, I think we've done it.

IMOK is an Australian based fashion, art and illustration brand that comes from the creative minds of Sandra Mason and Jen Roberts. Using a combination of water colours, traditional life drawing sketches, strong character work and stencils that are layered together, each design has a uniqueness which is hard to describe.

So beautiful and if you live in Sydney, check out the girls' work at Red Olive Studios, Manly.

Artist Unknown

Timothy Gray - Price: We can't find much about this gorgeous artist (we know he's in his final year at Art School in Canberra) but we tres love his work. If anyone can find a website for this little gem of a kid, please send onto us.

"Flowers in her hair..."

This is one look that we've been wearing for a while, and while 95% of people don't get it, we think you will.
It's that beautiful mix of bohemian femininity, that we live in the moment for... the headband featured in the picture is a DvF special.
If you're living your one true life, then wearing a little bit of love in a headband exudes your inner confidence and brightens up the world a little bit. Lush x

MoHo ♥'s Sloppy Jo's

Loving Pete's new work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjIO-AJlFoU

If we could invite 5 of the very best that Britland has to offer*, to tea and scones, we'd take

Damon Albarn - Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and record producer / front man and lyricist of Blur / principal songwriter and lead vocalist (under the alias "2D") for the Gorillaz.

Jefferson Hack - co founded the magazine Dazed & Confused / columnist for the The Daily Telegraph "Delusions of Grandeur" / sits as a judge on the panel for the Paris ANDAM fashion awards.

Mike Skinner - hot rapper commonly known by his stage name The Streets / Channel 4 (4Music) blog/music show presenter "BeatStevie" / PETA and Reebok supporter extraordinaire.

Muse (the band as a whole) - comprises of Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard / Kings of the laser show / first band to sell out the new Wembley Stadium.

Jamie Hince - one part of rock band "The Kills" / guitarist, party animal, chain smokin' vegan / HOT.

*Would also take Alex Derwin from Clemenger BBDO Sydney... hottest geezer copywritter going.

Someone Told US something

The irony of blogging about textual street art isn't lost on us.

But we do think this book is fun and worth checking out. Would make a great addition to Banksy Wall & Piece on the coffee table!

Written On The City: Graffiti Messages Worldwide By Axel Albin / Josh Kamler (Authors)

Enjoy kiddles xx

Love feeling like its summer all year round and these little pumpkins are inspiring tanned pins and beach hear stat!

Check out a gorge Gold Capiz Shell Chandelier from Galerie De France (315 East 62 nd street / 5th Floor, New York) or the beautiful and sustainable Century chandeliers from Vancouver company Propeller Designs.

Acne PaperMagazine

There are mags people read so they LOOK a part of something. And there are mags people read to BE a part of something.

Acne Paper inspires us to feel something, to keep our dreams alive, to not feel scared to have a passion and throw the doors wide and share it with people who feel a tweak but don't know how to live their one true life.

Take a minute today, be inspired, don't fear intelligent glamour. Just let it consume you. Wanna buy a copy...?

Wanna take the idea of intelligent glamour one-step-further? Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz (pictured here with C. Sevigny) has teamed with Acne to develop a cute little line... the boys fashion is lush.

And trust us on this, if the jeans that fit you best cost $1000 - snap 'em up. Yeah, its a big outlay, but think about how long you'll have those peaches for... (I cried the day my Helmut Lang skinnies died. Tragedy).

owe little Nanna Golden Hook

Sure, you can buy any number of cheap synthetic beanie, scarf, or mit from the chain stores that smatter our shopping districts (Sportsgirl, Topshop anyone...?) but is it really the same as having a Nana knit for you?

Golden Hook is a gorgeous Frenchy site set up for people that might not have a gran to pearl them a winter combo in between cups of tea and midday television. Simply choose the design you want, the wool and a Nana to knit for you, and you'll have a beautiful little set delivered in no time.

One of us put in an order European Winter, and thus has been cruising in a Rosétte Lady Le long à pompon made from Wool of Bamboo (retailing @ 36€) which was knocked up by Collette who has "4 petits enfants" (BLESS)!

A perfect gift for you, or a loved one to snuggle into all winter long x

Mum was a rock star

We love anything old school / retro, with a little bit of a fresh vibe, and today we're taking inspiration from some AMAZING photos from the 70's. Mum was a rock star.

Blythe ♥'s Laurence

There is no doubt that you would have seen a Blythe Doll in your time - but whether you took notice is another story.

Created in 1972 by designer Allison Katzman, Blythe's most distinctive feature were her eyes, that change color with the pull of a string attached to the back of her head (v. creepy).

Bizarrely these gorgeous 4inch high beauties only sold retail for 1 year and were then pulled off the shelves because of lack of consumer interest... which makes it even more crazy to think you can't buy an original Kenner Blythe off eBay for less than $500 AUS. Of course there are the Japanese remakes, but...

There are also the people that photograph Blythe and we think Laurence Olivier*, is pretty spech. A 15yr old (!!!) who is not only Blythe obsessed, Laurence takes gorgeous candids of the world around her which truly evoke a sense that if you'd stopped, to really look at your life, to be just a touch introspective, and simplify, that the days would be stripped back and reveal the tiny elements that make you who you are.

Peony Gardens

The Peony Gardens in NZ is a little spot that could be a home away from home. ANYWHERE that you can be surrounded by a large array of Peonies is AWE-SOME and a garden dedicated special to these beautiful flowers is lushamillion.

Notoriously hard to grow, and only flowering for a super short season, it is nice that MoHo is transcontinental so we get to love these year round. The little picture we found of these lovlies in a mix of vases (size and colour) reminds us of our little rooms and the way that we put things we love together.

If you're stuck for something truely beautiful to give a lover, Peonies are the one thing that will leave anybody breathless.

Natural Selection

Whether you live in a part of the world where a wander down to the local includes sea views, or, a cider among the daisies is a cruise away, owning a bicycle is the only way to travel.

So many afternoons spent with friends just riding, the wind in your hair, laughing...it truly is beautiful and we think that the Ross Lovegrove "Bamboo Bicycle" is just amazing.

Designed for Danish Manufacturer Biomega (love their website) and shown at the Milan Design Week 09 we seriously want one of these gorgeous little things, coupled with a tres sexy pair of Ray-Ban Clubmaster's RB3016.... (Time to let those Wayfarer 2140's go kids!!)

We are DYING to be a part of one of these... T Mobile we HEART HEART you!! {Loving when the hum nah-nah-nahhhhs come in at 2:29}

Christian Faur - Crayons on the Wall

We LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE the bubs that have made a feature in our extended group of friends lately and we'd love to spoil the little ones as they come along with something very special.

Just like Christian Faur, we remember how simple life was when all you wanted was a box of Crayola's... to gaze at the tips all lined up like magic little soldiers in a row and to pick a favourite colour and discuss WHY it was yours with your table mates in kindy.

For his "Crayons" body of works, Christian assembled more than one hundred thousand hand cast crayons of varying colors and shades to produce something not done in art before.

Each individual “pixel” of wax is precisely stacked into specific locations inside a wooden frame to produce a new art form that "uniquely balances the qualities of both photography and sculpture".

We've chosen some of our fave kiddle photos that we think would look pretty beautiful done in crayon! Thanks Ethan, Koby and Ellie for featuring, bless.

PlunkDogMillionaires' Golden Hoops

Our lovely friend Breeza Bree can't get enough of a crump in on a Saturday night and after checking out some fine work with her at a Dizzy Rascal gig we wanted to take this opportunity to support the local ladies who make up Sydney DJ group Hoops .

Anna Lunoe, NinaLasVegas and Bad Ezzy sure know how to get a booty shakin' on a dance floor, and are worth checking out playing together or as individual DJ's. Lushing out in the Sydney club scene, these girls with grills will drop in a party track to get you going and go a little way to make up the let down many faced when Salt&Pepper pulled their Aussie Tour last year. Download a Hoops mega mix today.

Slice of Life for Jude and Jude

By sheer coincidence, both of our mums are Jude and Jude and we love it!

True gems, neither mind that we're pretty flighty, might call home at 3am with a story about a boy, laugh off when our Dad's share the Kiwi flavoured vodka or Bacardi Breezers around and have supported our MoHo dream because they know how much we need to bring it to the world to feel Ikigai every day.

To give back to these brilliant ladies on Mothers Day, we're thinking organic and are inspired by the beautiful Heston Blumenthal... one of THE best chefs and culinary alchemists in the world. His restaurant, The Fat Duck, gained Three Michelin stars in January 2004 and in 2005 received worldwide recognition for its unique approach to gastronomy and was proclaimed The Best Restaurant in the world by the "50 Best" Academy of over 600 international food critics, journalists and chefs.

As it gets colder in AUS and the UK is still chillin, we think this Poached Rhubarb and Yoghurt Mousse is a divine way to celebrate with our mumsies. Feel free to pinch this one for your mum too. x

It’s kicky its chic its PaperFunAlia

Paper... what an interesting material... well we found out exactly how interesting at MoMu’s exhibition Paper Fashion.

As we wandered this splendidly designed museum we learnt how paper has been the fabric of choice in fashion in various cultures and during different historic periods.

The exhibition includes everything from dresses inspired by airmail envelopes and iconic photogrpahy... to retro party sets complete with matching outfit for the ever chic and perfectly prepared hostess. It features Andy Warhol’s paper dresses which were packaged with a set of six watercolors and brush. Nico from the Velvet Underground wore one as Warhol famously painted away mid-concert.

The exhibition shows how paper is still used by today’s fashion designers, including contributions from Helmut Lang, Issey Miyake and the elaborate Chanel headpieces of which brought to mind whipped confections and birds in flight. From the man himself Karl Largerfeld.. “there is something similar between a flower petal and a sheet of paper.. everything begins on paper, without it I would be lost.’ Oh how we agree Karl, you’re forever on to it.

Be inspired and appreciate this wonderful material... go on for a change - don’t write that email, instead pick up a crisp sheet of this wondrous textile and write a letter in a fine felt tip (preferably a Pentel sign pen).

We not only love love this beautifully named museum but also its amazing content and style... If ever in the city of Antwerp Belgium pls check it out you will be pleasantly surprised.

Esser love

A journey to the forever and always in our hearts Lock Tavern ended in a lovely surprise - spotting the beautifully talented Ben Esser from band Esser.

What a contribution these lovely creatures have made to our forever growing appreciation of London bands.. first spotted playing KoKo’s pre Lykke Li and then also just before Black Kids and Passion Pit. Now playing Clapam's Get loaded In The Park... which was looking pretty dreary until these guys were added to the line up.

A true favorite is “Work It Out”.. type e-s-s-e-r into spotify now and enjoy the lyrical up-tempo bliss from this indi-dance heartthrob.

Pretty Little Floral Legs

After a stella weekend of serious highs (slipping into delirious lows) we're exhausted and can't wait for a little peach* week ahead! Cue floral bottoms ranging from Urban Outfitters Little Floral Tight through to Peter Alexander's Floral Waffle Leggings which are so beautiful and are already adorning our legs this winter, both in and out of the bedroom.

Rock 'em with an I Heart NY t'shirt or lush out on the wekend in a black silk singlet and Gladdy's...both so pretty and sweet. Topping it off, the PAs are waffle and we're slightly giddy over ribbing at the moment.

*A spech Congratulations to Gina Peach who became a Mrs this weekend. Peach will always live on as a middley for daughter 1 for Ho and we're SO excited for you x Love LOVE.

London Lovely Growing Wall

A little road running through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Wesbourne Grove got a lovely little makeover courtesy of Jigsaw a few weeks ago...

There is something about walls being covered in just about anything which makes us feel slightly excited. We love Frenchy Patrick Blanc who actually invented the Vertical Garden (Le Mur Vegetal) -a very cool way to grow plants without any soil. Desperate to have this very talented man add one to a wall near us!

We heart Marcio

Does it get any better than listening to 80's tracks (Dragon anyone?) on a Saturday morning, with a raspberry cordial to replace the sugar you lost dancing while wearing a panda head in Oxford St?

Marcio Kogan's "Panama House" is so gorgeous that it takes your breath away. His favourite motif - the box form – occurs time and again within his houses, in carefull combinations, that juxtaposes materials against other...the Panama House uses dark natural Brazilian hardwood, concrete and vernacular stonework in an open plan style that makes you want to be uber tanned and lie on the decking in the soft Brazillian sun. Check out beauty in a building below.
