♥ Jo Hayes-Ward

Jewellery can be so bland, but when you use architectural aesthetic as inspiration, you most probably will end up with something unique and exciting.

Jo Hayes-Ward (Hill Crest Old Road, Harbertonford, Totnes TQ9 7TA, London, T:07903 521427) melts precious materials with some not-quites, and forms pieces that upon close up viewing are a distinctive mash of (quite literally) shimmering cubes. With roots in the traditional jewellery design business, Hayes Ward pursues new technology to help craft her craft and prototype works that are reminiscent of beautiful sculptures.

Secs for Cecs

Cecily Brown can be credited (and has been) as one of the key art figures that saw a strong resurgence in painting at the end of the 90s. Expanding the tradition of abstract expressionism, Cec combines figurism and abstractism and cherry tops her work with titles reminiscent of old Hollywood films. Born in London, Cec lives and breathes NY which is mostly evident in the macho and strong work that she produces.

Part of permanent exhibitions world-wide, Brown has exhibited in lovely little venues, such as the Saatchi Gallery (Duke of York's HQ, King's Road Chelsea, London, SW3 4SQ, U.K.). Works like "Night Passage" hard hits with a fierceness that is uber masculine, combined with the femininity of a pastel palette. If you look closely, through all of the frilled oils, you should be able to make out the impression of a young couple... "The Fugitive Kind" reiterates the same physical sensations and illusion of motion that Brown is celebrated for.

If you're in Euro, hit up Germany. Brown is showing work at The Deichtorhallen Hamburg (Deichtorstraße 1 - 2, D-20095 Hamburg, Tel. +49-(0)40-32 10 30)

Pop-ed Rocks

Luv-ahs abound atm, with plenty of weddings and prop's on the horizon. Its a beautiful gesture to let your loved one choose their own ring, but to have your ring chosen for you is sweeter still. Some of the sexiest couples we know choose their rings for each other, and while the George Jensen Centenary is uber super amazingly beautiful and modern and timeless all at the same time, we'd love something like the Love Rocks NY rings.

Made from 14k gold - and you want yellow... the white stuff is impure... not the way you want to start a lasting union - the band is fat and trendy and the diamond infinity symbol is crafted with beautiful hand set diamonds. Alternatively, we'd take a couple of the Crack Diamond Bands - pave set diamonds on an asymetric band, it beats your standard ring! Boys or girls - ship it in.

Pieces of Kate

Its devastating when the inspiring-rich people around us are slowly ebbed away with things out of their control. Corinne Day is one such person, who is widely known and regarded for her shots of Kate Moss, spanning the models career.

Slammed with brain cancer, and in urgent need of seeing a specialist in the US, friends have banned together to release 300 unpublished images of Ms Moss taken by Day, to raise the £100,000 needed for treatment.

Retailing at £100 each, Moss will sign each pic... sure to be snapped up pretty freakin' quickly, email emily@premieremodelmanagement.com or call +44 (0)20 7333 0888 if you want one. Boomchicka.

CycleChic

Stylish little list and pics of the most gorgeous proper upright bicycles that are most aesthetically and stylishly gorgeous. Inspired by Mo's recent trip to Denmark. Hitch your skirt and onto the saddle...

Yes. AnOther magazine.

Love AnOther magazine.

A more mainstream fashion driven off shoot of the Dazed group of mags, the AW09 Decade in Style edition (think September issue for the cooler kids) feature 4 different covers shot by Craig McDean and Hedi Slimane.

We'll pay that Kate Moss, Vanessa Paradis and Natalie Portman are up there. But Katie Holmes? Think that Vic might have been too busy for the shoot, because lets face it... Katie Holmes isnt exactly someone that anyone styles themselves after... right?

The mag pairs 28 designers with 28 stylish gals to mark the end of the decade.

The designers:

James Perse a go-go

PHEW! We're seriously in love with this guy.

James Perse was born in LA in 1972, and was thrown into an incidental education on fashion from Europe and Asia, on modern architecture, furniture design and on the elegant and the clean-line via spending days in his fathers casual-luxe store Maxfield.

A passion for minimalist architecture, west-coast living and casual cool inspires his range and influences his personal design philosophy and aesthetic, which incidentally, is very similar to ours..."low maintenance high fashion - emphasizing elegance and comfort, pairing sophistication with simplicity".

We love his website, and LOVE his furniture range. The Carbon Chaise and Colony Chair from the Malibu collection are peach, and on a hard wood deck, besides a still cool pool, have summer glam written all over them... The Craftmans Sofa and Chair from the Los Angles collection remind us of sexy tanned limbs and sweet sugar syrup cocktails...On top of that, the limited edition Cruiser and surf boards are amazing...Ahhh Perse you are a go-go!
